book link

Everyone in town knows that Christmas in Twilight has a way of bringing lovers together . . . but will its magic bring this pair from “I won’t” to “I do”?

Wearing a too-tight “Santa Baby” costume held in by a double pair of Spanx, Paige MacGregor runs headlong into a gorgeous, grey-eyed hunk of a long, tall cowboy. And not just any cowboy, but country-western star Cash Colton, visiting Twilight to perform in a charity concert. Most women would melt at his feet, but Paige knows all too much about self-assured men with cocky attitudes, so she tells him to get lost.

Cash is in town, nursing his own broken heart, but Paige has knocked him off his feet. He’s convinced she’s perfect—someone to inspire his music and share his now-empty bed. True, he’s not marriage material, but he’s determined to convince her that they’re perfect together—at least for a while. But what he doesn’t count on is falling in love with the one woman who isn’t about to give him the time of day!

Lisa Thoughts : I want to move to Twilight,Texas. I love revisiting this great little town that Lori has created with great friendly characters. In this newest book we have two people that new to Twilight but are finding there place . And each brings baggage but Twilight has a way to bring people together especially at this time of the year. Sunday’s Review * The bookworm and the beast

When quiet, bookish Izzy Simon accepts a two-week assignment as an assistant for an author of children’s books, it seems like the perfect way for her to make some much-needed extra money, but the grumpy author claims he doesn’t want or need her services. He might be as handsome as a storybook prince, but his prickly personality and resistance to all things Christmas are sure to make for a chilly holiday season.

Derek Croft never agreed to the cheery temp his staff arranges for him while they’re on vacation. Izzy is his polar opposite, but Derek soon realizes she could be the perfect solution to his interfering family…if he can get her to agree to pretend to be his live-in girlfriend. Before long Izzy’s sweet disposition and unflappable optimism has him decorating a tree and looking forward to late night hot cocoa, but he’s all too aware their time together can’t last.

Lisa Net Galley Review- a great holiday romance between a bookworm and a grumpy solitaire author. When Izzy takes the job shes just counting on the extra money to pay her grandmothers bills but she becomes Derek’s temporary girlfriend. But they become so much more with a little holiday magic and love. This cute hot romance is the perfect read – so grab some hot chocolate and read on. Lisa

When SWAT Officer Max Lowry meets Lana Mason, he falls fast and hard. He’s positive she’s The One. And Max’s favorite part? Lana’s a wolf shifter too, so they can skip the awkward reveal and head straight to the happily ever after. There’s just one problem: Lana doesn’t know that she’s a werewolf.

To make matters worse, hunters with intent to kill have tracked Lana to Dallas. Max has to figure out how to keep Lana safe, show her who and what she really is—and just how much she means to him.

“The chemistry is scorching hot.”—RT Book Reviews

Lisa Book Review from Net Galley. This is the latest book in this series set in Dallas with the Swat team. Featuring SWAT team member Max & Lana. When he smells Lana at a party he knows shes a werewolf but she doesn’t know it. But Max will protect  his One  as hunters go after his mate & pack. –

This is another great book in this series. Max is a wolf who is having a hard time with his wolf but he feels his One. at an award ceremony. But Lana doesn’t know shes a werewolf and has  no idea;s hunters are after her. Max must tell Lana shes a wolf and his One & protect her from the hunters chasing her.  Lana & Max are a great couple and it’s nice to see another couple come together. Also you get a glimpse of the whole Swat team as they work against the Hunters. This is book 7 and I would recommend reading this series in order written. Lisa

ARC Review: Bronze

Bronze by Adele Huxley is LIVE!

Title: Bronze
Author: Adele Huxley
Publication Date: Dec 5 2017
Cover Designer: T.E. Black Designs
It’s not all fun and games

The Unity Games. Hundreds of hot, competitive, foreign women all staying in Italy for two weeks? Um… yes please! A no-pressure competition where I can show off my snowboard-X skills and time to party guilt-free? Talk about my ideal trip. But when I find out my old friend and partner Elle Ball is staying in the Village too, everything else becomes so shallow. After all, she’s the woman I’ve measured all others against. Now that she’s back in my life for such a short time, am I even good enough to move past “just friends”?
I love her passion and tenacity. She’s everything I’m not. After a terrible moment at the opening ceremonies and her own brush with death, she starts to think some of these “accidents” don’t seem so accidental. When Elle sets her mind to something, all I can do is help and try to hang on. Maybe then I can prove my worth.

This is what I’ve been working for my whole life. The sacrifice, the early mornings and late nights… It comes down to this. This competition will land me a spot in the US Olympic Figure Skating team for sure. All I have to do is keep my head down and eye on the prize. It would’ve been easy if it weren’t for Ethan McNally.
The last time I saw him, he was a gangly kid… and one of my best friends. Now he’s a major hunk and that poses a huge distraction. So why can’t I stop thinking about him?
I’m surprised to find help and support from new friends as I dive into the strange events going on behind the scenes. As I unravel a vast conspiracy, I can’t help but wonder about my reunion with Ethan. Is he all that he seems or is he saying things I want to hear? Or, like this the Unity Games, were we doomed from the start?
iTUNES: Coming soon!
NOOK: Coming soon!
Lisa Book Review : I received the ARC for this book & this is an honest review. This story is set at the Unity games in Italy ran similiar to the Olympics but the goal are awarded to teams at the end & a large cash prize. Elle is a figure skater -the real ice princess with all it’s problems. Ethan is a snowboarder – a player & looking for a good time (life of the Party) but they have a past & it’s about to change each other for the best. But mist of competition they are something sinister going on at the games -can these two find an answer.
This is my first time reading this author books but -it’s well written with interesting characters. I am a fan o the Olympics so the setting was interesting as well as the athletes stories. You don’t need to be a winter sports fan but if you love sport romance with a suspenseful twist you will want to read this first book. I will warn you it ends in a cliffhanger with the next book coming soon. Looking forward to see what happens in the next book.    Lisa Jung

Review * Vampire Fight Club

Lisa Sunday Morning Reviews:

book link

New York Times bestselling author Larissa Ione tempts you into the darkly irresistible world of Demonica, populated by angels and demons, shifters and humans, all with a thirst that must be quenched . . .

When a wave of violence that hits too close to home forces shapeshifter and underworld nurse Vladlena Paskelkov to go undercover, her first stop is a haven of vice—with a dangerously sexy vamp in charge . . .

Legendary, jaded, Nathan Sabine is the manager of Thirst, a wildly popular vampire club—and secret underground blood arena. But Nathan, a rare daywalker, possesses other, even more explosive secrets, as does his beautiful new medic, Vladlena. The one thing they can’t conceal is the lust that simmers between them . . .

Now, in an underworld divided by revelry and violence, debauchery and vengeance, Nate and Lena will discover which risks are worth taking—and which desires demand surrender . . .

Lisa Thoughts – My copy came from Net Galley – but you may have read this already in an anthology the author had. But if not it’s a worthy read in the dark & grim world of the underworld where the vampires.demons & snifters come to play . Like any fight club it’s a secret but Lena finds herself a part of it and in doing so saves her life and finds love with a Vampire.  Lisa
