After being jilted not once, but twice by the only woman he’s ever truly loved, Brian McAlister has all but given up on relationships. Then, on special assignment for the DA’s office, he steps into the middle of a politically sensitive murder case where he crosses paths with a beautiful ex-socialite-turned-social-worker, Holly Cavanaugh Winter.
Widowed, practically penniless, and reduced to shopping at Walmart, Holly is dreading the approaching holiday season. However, her angst isn’t due to her husband’s untimely death the previous December 25th, but to a secret that could reveal itself unless she can find a way to avoid the coming Christmas. To make matters worse, she unwittingly stumbles into the throes of Brian’s case and the manhunt for a killer who now has his sights set on her.
His case unraveling, Brian finds himself tasked with keeping Holly and her two daughters safe while bringing an assassin and the powerful man who hired him to justice.
Review- Not your typical holiday romance with murder on the menu. But you also have the great romance with DA Brian and Holly. Brian who has his own problems is a great hero when Holly and her family needs him . A perfect romance at any time – but perfect for at Christmas time.
Note: During the tour, the book will be on sale for only $0.99.
Scott gave a quick thought to the repercussions of what he’d gotten himself involved in. Disbarment. Prison. But he wasn’t worried. He knew that if it came to that, he could make a deal, tell everything he knew in exchange for leniency, or better yet, immunity. After all, Holland was the one the DA was after. What Scott needed to do now was to keep focused on the cushy life that lay ahead if he succeeded in thwarting the DA’s case against Holland. As one of Holland’s company lawyers, he’d be ensured a lifetime of fine food and wine, travel, box seats to every SEC game, and women—lots of women. All he had to do was keep a murderer out of prison. Not that being required to do so worried or even surprised him. He didn’t possess even half the raw talent or basic instinct for the law as the majority of his colleagues, whose coattails he’d been riding right up until the moment fate shook him off. Hadn’t a part of him always known that sooner or later claiming his fortune would come down to something like this?
Yes, for Scott, a dance with the devil had been inevitable
