Tensions sizzle in this electrifying novel guaranteed to capture your heart and
take your breath away. Fans of Julie Garwood, Suzanne Brockmann and Jayne Ann Krentz will
devour this action-packed, emotionally stunning tour de force, where every page reveals
another damning secret and another daring gamble.

Rotting in an
African dungeon is the last place journalist Tess Newell expected to find herself. Held
hostage by the terrorist group she’s been investigating, Tess’s salvation—and
temptation—arrives in the form of another prisoner. A French Foreign Legionnaire with
a sinful smile and too many secrets to be anything but dangerous. Yet she knows he’s her
only hope of surviving.

The Legion is the only family Flynn has. His sanctuary
and his purgatory, after years spent in hell. When a mission goes south and Flynn is
captured, it’s not the enemy that worries him, but rather the brazen, alluring reporter
whose prying questions threaten to bring down his world—and the walls he’s built
around his heart.

Yet after a daring escape, Flynn must risk it all and go on
the run with Tess to retrieve the evidence she needs. The chemistry between them threatens
to detonate but, with the enemy fast closing in, time is running out to unravel the truth
from the lies in this deadly conspiracy…

Lisa Thought : This is my first book from this author. This is part of a series but it can be read as a stand alone book ( I did) . A great romantic suspense with great characters in Tess ( journalist) and Flynn ( Legion soldier). Tess is investigating a terrorist with military /political ties when she is captured and meets Flynn. After a daring escape to retrieve her proof – Tess & Flynn and his  Legion team members join the chase for justice.   But not all is what it seems as secrets are revealed and passion flares as the two battle for truth. An exciting story that comes off the front pages of the newspaper. I will differently read more from this author and this series. Lisa

It’s a literal fight for love in this fast-moving shifter tale in the popular Masters of Maria series.

For coyote shifter Blue Shapely, becoming the new alpha of Maria’s pack is his long-awaited chance to be his own man and eliminate chaos from the town. Unfortunately, the pack’s patron is thwarting him at every turn.

After being magically attached to the Coyote group for more than a century, demigoddess Willa Matheson has a soft spot for them—even the dangerous ones threatening to expose them to humans. She may have hired Blue to rein in the pack, but the two constantly disagree on strategy. She doesn’t want to upset anyone, whereas he’ll do whatever it takes to get his Coyotes in line. And to make things worse: all signs point to the anxious demigoddess being his mate.

But developing a tenderness for Willa will be an obstacle to Blue’s determination to be as ruthless as he needs to be. If the duo can’t find a way to retract their claws, and soon, it may be too late to protect the pack’s secret—and their own hearts.

Sensuality Level: Sensual

Lisa Thoughts:  This is book 4 of Masters of Maria. But this book can be read as a stand alone book. Willa is a demi-god with little are no powers -she spends her days teaching music to children and try to keep a pack of Coyote shifters out of trouble. She hires Blue an Alpha to keep the Coyotes out of trouble but finds so much more.  But will Blues tough love and Willa free spirit find a happy balance -with a meddling God in the mix . Read the book and find out all about these two great characters.  Fans  of Holly Trent  will enjoy this book this is not to be missed.
